Terms of Use

The rules for using Antlang. By using the site you agree to them.

Using Antlang

Antlang is for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may read lessons without an account. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password safe and give us correct information. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age your country requires to agree to these terms). Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • copy, scrape or redistribute the lessons, word lists, audio or other content at scale, or sell or share files you export;
  • try to break, overload or get around the limits or security of the site, or use bots to make requests;
  • harass, threaten or scam other learners, share illegal content, or use voice calls or chats for anything other than practising a language;
  • pretend to be someone else or give a misleading username.

Voice calls and community

Voice calls connect you with another learner. Be respectful: we may limit or close accounts that are reported for abuse. Calls and messages between learners are private and are not recorded by us, but you are responsible for what you say. Please do not share personal details you would not want a stranger to know.

Premium and payments

Some features need a paid Premium plan (weekly, monthly, yearly, 3 or 6 months, or lifetime). Payments are handled by our payment provider, Polar. Plans that renew do so automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and you can cancel from your account; you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Lifetime is a one-time payment. Prices are shown at checkout and may differ by country. If Premium is not for you, you can ask for a refund within 30 days of buying. Free-account limits (such as daily word look-ups or AI messages) may change as the service evolves.

AI, machine translation and accuracy

Some answers (AI explanations, chat replies, generated quizzes and machine translations of words or sentences) are produced automatically and can be wrong. Lessons and translations are for learning and are not professional translation, legal or certification advice. We do not guarantee that every lesson is correct for every dialect or register.

Content and ownership

The lessons, texts, audio, design, name and logo of Antlang belong to Antlang or its licensors. You may use them for your own study. Some lessons are based on third-party material (for example YouTube videos or news that has been rewritten); that material belongs to its owners. The words and notes you save are yours.

Third-party services

The site uses services from other companies (for example Google for translation and voice, YouTube for videos, Polar for payments). Their terms and privacy policies apply to what they provide. See our Privacy Policy for what is shared with them.

Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove lessons, tools or features at any time and cannot promise the site will always be available or free of errors. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

Limitation of liability

Antlang is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Antlang is not responsible for indirect or incidental damages that come from using the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

Ending your account

You can stop using Antlang at any time, and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel or refund a subscription, so cancel Premium first if you do not want it to renew.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make an important change we will tell you in the service. Using Antlang after a change means you accept the new terms.
