Private: only between you and your partnerYour voice, chat, captions and the dialogue you pick travel peer to peer, straight between your two browsers. Antlang does not record or store any of it. We only count how many minutes you spoke, for XP and the daily limit.

How voice practice works

Log in with a free account. Voice calls need one so we can keep your speaking minutes and your streak.
Press Find a partner and allow your microphone. We pair you with someone else who is learning Portuguese and is online right now.
Talk. Use the topic ideas if you get stuck, turn on captions to read what was said, or type in the chat. Tap a word in the captions to see its meaning and save it.
Every minute you speak earns XP and keeps your streak going. Press Next partner to meet someone else, or hang up when you are done.

Good to know

Free accounts get 20 minutes of calls a day, and Premium is unlimited. See every free limit.
Calls are peer to peer: your voice, chat, captions and any dialogue you share go straight between you and your partner, and Antlang never records or stores them. We only count the minutes you spoke.
Captions use your browser's speech recognition, so they work in Chrome, Edge and Safari. In Chrome your voice is sent to Google to be written down.
Use headphones to avoid echo, and be kind: your partner is learning too.

Questions about Portuguese voice calls

Who will I talk to?

Another learner of Portuguese who pressed Find a partner at the same time as you. You will both make mistakes, and that is fine: the point is to speak.

Is it free?

Yes. A free account gets 20 minutes of calls a day, and Premium removes the limit.

Are my calls recorded?

No. Everything stays between you and your partner: audio, chat messages, captions and the dialogue you pick travel peer to peer, and Antlang never records or stores them. The only thing we keep is how many minutes you spoke, for XP and the daily limit.

What if nobody is online?

You can see how many learners are waiting. If nobody is, keep waiting or practise with Anto, our AI talk partner, right now.

Do I need to speak well already?

No, beginners are welcome. Topic ideas and sample sentences help you start, and captions let you read what you did not catch.
