Enska á stigi A1 er þar sem allt byrjar: stafrófið eða fyrstu hljóðin, kveðjur, tölur og einföldustu setningarnar. Þessar lexíur nota mjög stutta texta og algeng orð, með hljóði og þýðingu svo þú getir fylgst með hverri línu.

- Heilsa fólki og kynna þig.
- Skilja og nota mjög algeng hversdagsorð.
- Lesa mjög stutta, einfalda texta.
Um 500 orð og um það bil 80–100 klukkustunda nám til að ná þessu stigi.
